Tool making
At Active plastics they have toolmakers from a variety of backgrounds, each one bringing a unique talent to the company. These are people committed to building quality tooling that is accurate and reliable. They have a comprehensive array of state of the art machinery that is maintained to a very high level so that efficiency and accuracy are not compromised. They use the best tool steel available guaranteeing long tool life and reliability.
The tool room has 4 CNC machines allowing the manufacture of multiple components. The workshop is equipped with 2 lathes and three universal mills, avoiding the situations where toolmakers are waiting for machines to be available. Spark eroding and surface and cylindrical grinding facilities are also part of the workshop facilities.
Production
At Active Plastics their Hi – tech state of the art moulding machines are controlled by computers, allowing the die – setters and machine operators time to maintain close tolerances on all products.
All products have specification sheets and the staff is trained to understand what is required.
